Brill Travel Terms & Conditions – We are Brill Travel and look forward to the opportunity to act as your local land operator for our tours and travel-related services. These terms and conditions (the “Agreement”) describe what you are legally entitled to expect from us when you purchase travel related services through us. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Brill Travel. The term “you” refers to the customer visiting our website, booking our tours or otherwise using our services.

It is a normal practice for us to design a custom tour with you, discussing  each and every detail of the tour with you and only after finalizing all aspects of the tour package, we proceed with bookings.  We accept bookings via e-mail or our website. Just fill in the Booking Form. Bookings are risk-free. Brill Travel does not require a deposit with a booking.

We accept bookings at least 90-180 days prior to tour commencement (180 days -for groups). There is only one exception – the Rose Festival Period ( May 26 – June 8). Brill Travel accepts custom tour request at least 7 months prior to this period. We consider booking requests made in a period shorter than 60 days a last-minute booking. That is why we operate such tour requests based on availability.

If you make a booking on behalf of others as well as yourself, we shall take it that you have the authority of each of those other people to enter into the contract on the basis of these booking conditions and that you and they have agreed to be jointly and severally liable to us.

If you have any special requests, please inform us of these in writing at the time of booking. We will advise the relevant suppliers but cannot guarantee that they will meet your special requirements. Brill Travel has no liability to you if such requirements are not met.

Payment

Once we reconfirm your booking, we will send out an invoice verifying details of the services booked. Please check details on your confirmation invoice including notes on the reverse, and notify us of any errors. You must reconfirm your booking as definite by payment of a 20% deposit only 5 weeks (35 days) before tour. We will send you our bank’s Authorization form for a credit card payment, asking you to sign it and send it back to us.Last-minute bookings are subject to full prepayment latest 35 days prior to tour commencement.

The balance payment for all tours and services booked is due latest 3 weeks (21 days), unless otherwise stated on your confirmation invoice. We will send you a reminder 1 week before the balance due date. Private customized payment plans are available upon request.

We ask for full payment of the entire tour cost for last-minute bookings (35 days prior to departure)

Brill Travel reserves the right to cancel any booking for which we have not received deposit payment and/or balance payment on the due date.

We accept Visa, Eurocard/MasterCard or JCB and/or bank transfers into our bank accounts. Credit card payments, excluding deposit payment, are subject to a 2% bank fee.

After receipt of the deposit payment, we will issue our voucher for the prepaid services and send it to you by e-mail.

Payment of the tour price constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions set out herein

Tour price Brill Travel’s Terms & Conditions

Our package price includes land arrangements only. Every tour description indicates all services included. We do not include flights in our packages. Not included are visa/passport fees, insurance, photos and items such as laundry, telephone, beverages and extra meals, gratuities, airport taxes and fees.

Prices for tours and tour packages, quoted in EUR and/or US$ are valid and guaranteed, if prepaid.

Custom Planning Fee

Within 60-Days: 100. €; Outside of 60-Days: 50. €. We will deduct this fee from the package price. Tours published on our website are subject to a free customization.

Booking changes, cancellations & refunds Brill Travel Terms & Conditions

If you wish to make any changes to your confirmed tour arrangements, we will do our best to accommodate you. But we cannot promise and guarantee. Any change is subject to availability. In view of current pandemic situation, we are flexible and we charge no change fee for our tours

If you have to cancel, please send the notice of cancellation in writing.

Changes → Brill Travel Terms & Conditions

In case you have to withdraw from a tour after it has begun for reasons such as illness, be sure to obtain a medical certificate in support of any insurance claim.

Although it is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements or the tour itinerary, we reserve the right to do so because we plan many months in advance. Where a change is a minor change, such as a site change, or sequence of visits, we will advise you before commencement of your tour. When a change is a significant change (such as a change to accommodation standard for some part of your tour), we will advise you as soon as is reasonably possible and offer a higher accommodation standard at no additional cost for you.

Refunds

If you have to cancel your tour within a short notice, we will refund the balance, deducting the cancellation fee as % of the total price as defined above.

We strongly recommend you Trip cancellation and “Covid-cover” insurance. No refunds other than those expressly provided for in writing, shall be made for any trip cancellation for any reason, including health related reasons.

Force majeure Brill Travel Terms & Conditions

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our obligations under our contract with you is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage, loss or expense of any nature as a result of “force majeure”. In these conditions, “force majeure” means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include, whether actual or threatened, war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute,

Insurance

In view of the latest developments of Covid-19 pandemic, we strongly recommend to find your local “Covid-cover” insurer. Please contact your local insurer; you must purchase insurance directly from a local insurer. You are responsible for indemnifying us in full in the event that we incur any losses or expenses arising out of your failure to take out adequate insurance cover.

We are not responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of personal luggage and belongings, or personal injury or illness. Local Insurance coverage in the region is not available on the basis of high U.S/U.K. and Western standards.

Passports & visas

It is your responsibility to obtain a valid Passport.  Non EU, US, Canada, Japan, Israel etc. passport holders must obtain their own visa.  Information is available here: https://www.mfa.bg/en/

Holders of Schengen visa will be able to visit and stay in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia and Romania without visas for up to 90 days.

Documents Brill Travel Terms & Conditions

We will send final tour programme and itinerary, together with vouchers latest 10 days prior to commencement of your tour.

It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of airline tickets and all other travel documents.

Photography

We reserve the right to take photographs and/or video during the tour Brill Travel will use the photography for promotional purposes only. We strictly follow the GDPR rules to protect your privacy while on our tour.

All photography on Brill Travel’s website is subject to copyright.

Health Requirements

Any physical or mental disability requiring special attention must be noted at time of booking.  All health requirements must be checked with your doctor. Under no circumstances should you travel if your doctor has or would advise against it. You must be fit and well to take part in one of our tours. Many of our programmes involve walking on uneven surfaces and might be physically tiring. We rely on your assessment of your own ability to participate in a tour. If you have any reservations regarding your fitness for a trip, please call us. If you are infirm, disabled or unfit in any way or have any medical condition which will or may affect your tour arrangements, it is imperative that you inform Brill Travel so that we may give you advice.

Liability

We are responsible for supplying the services and accommodations, as described and reconfirmed in your tour programme. Our obligations and those of our suppliers providing any service included in the tour, are to provide them with reasonable skill and care.

We comply with the best local standards. Sometimes these standards will be different from those which would be expected to be found in your home country.  The services included in your tour programme will be deemed to be provided with reasonable skill and care if they comply with any local regulations which apply.

We will not be responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss (including loss of enjoyment or possessions), damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of the following: – the act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party or – the act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party not connected with the provision of your tour programme and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable or – ‘force majeure’ as defined in clause above. We shall have no legal liability whatsoever to you for any loss, damage, personal injury or death which you suffer arising directly or indirectly from any aspect of your tour. You must ensure you have appropriate travel insurance to protect you during your tour.

Your Contract with us and any matters arising from it shall be subject to Bulgarian law. Any disputes will be settled under Bulgarian law.

Brill Travel holds an official Tour Operator’s registration # 004523 issued by the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism, and is insured with EvroIns Bulgaria, which provides for your protection in the unlikely event of Brill Travel’s insolvency.
